JUPITER CONTACT FOR JHA - PET CONNECTION PARTNERSHIP
Lori Walsh has assumed the role of the JHA’s Jupiter Farms Contact for the Pet Connection. If an animal is lost or found in the Jupiter Farms area please call Lori at 561-373-5044.
The JHA owns a micro-chip scanner which reads AVID (American Veterinary Identification Devices) and HA (Home Again) brand micro-chips. The scanner is made available to the community by JHA to assist in quickly identifying owners of lost and found animals. Lori will come to you and scan the animal for a chip; contact either AVID and/or HA for identification through their data base, contact owners and assist in the pet finding its’ way home.
In the event a pet is found that does not have a micro-chip; Lori and her family will house the animal for a period of one week; post information at Publix, Town & Country Feed, West Jupiter Camp Ground and on the Lost in Jupiter Website at: http://lost.jupiterdaily.com/.
Once all attempts to reunite pets with their owners have been made Lori is required to contact Animal Care and Control at which time the animal will be handed over to them for adoption services etc. Go to: http://www.pbcgov.com/SNAP/
If you have lost or found an animal in the Jupiter Farms area be sure to give Lori a call.
Pet Connection, Lost in Jupiter, and JHA share the same goal of quickly “helping pets find their way home”!
Special thanks to Peg Bowman who has performed this service for many years on behalf of the JHA.

Please take caution: people giving away horses for free or almost free. My friend that works with rescue horses has been alerted by fellow rescue organizations and volunteers that people are calling, mostly from miami, for these horses to get them and sell on the market for horse meat. They have called and said they would even take the "unridable" horses or lame horses as long as they were a certain age.. (horse meat has to be under a certain age to be processable) so please warn everyone about this. Too many sick individuals in this world that will do anything for money...
WANTED VOLUNTEERS AND HORSES! The Special Needs Therapeutic Riding Ministry at Christ Fellowship offers assistance to children with disabilities and their families through a horse program. If you can help by volunteering your time and bringing your horse on Saturdays for a few hours or if you would like additional information
please contact Alicia at 561-502-0233.
Horses and willing helpful hands make a huge difference in the life of a special child
Special report by Peabody award winner George Knapp -- A hard-hitting and eye-opening investigation into the wild horse issue and BLM's management practices. This is a must see! Please circulate far and wide.
