It is the responsibility of every member to know and understand
the show rules for the classes in which they compete.

1.Exhibitors and/or owners must be members of the JHA.
2.A current negative Coggins must be provided at each show.
3.No entry fee refunded. Injury or illness, credits will be given. Classes canceled by show management, entry fees will be refunded. No refunds or credits for missed classes.
4.Rider age to be determined as of September 1, 2010.
5.Judges decisions are final. Discourtesy to a Judge or show official on the part of any exhibitor, trainer, groom, owner or guest will immediately disqualify any and all horses associated with said party. All entries forfeited.
6.Horses must be securely tethered at all times in proper places. No horses allowed at the announcer’s booth, concessions stand, picnic area, tree, ring fences, or roped off areas.
7.Classes combined or deleted at the discretion of the show committee.
8.No Alcoholic Beverages or Drugs of any kind will be allowed on the show grounds at any time.
9.Dogs must be leashed at all times. Dogs posing a nuisance may be asked to leave.
10. A Show Director or Board Member may disqualify any horse or rider for safety or cruelty reasons. No fees will be refunded.
11.Horses must be ridden in designated practice areas only. Racing along driveways, sidewalks, among trailers or spectators is Prohibited.
12.All riders must enter and exit the ring with their horse at a walk.

13.No stallion may be ridden or handled by anyone under 18 years of age. This includes lead line classes.


                              





A. All year end awards are based on one horse/ one rider combination.
Exceptions: Equitation classes on rider only.
B. Lead Line riders may not enter any other riding classes the day of showing.
C. Exhibitors must show in at least four shows to be eligible for year end awards.
D. Exhibitors entering walk-jog or walk-trot classes may not enter loping or cantering classes,
except for the beginner loping and cantering classes, green horse, hunter hack, and command.
E. The walk-jog and walk-trot divisions are for riders who have won 5 or less blue
ribbons in loping or cantering classes.
F. Novice Horse is for horses that had not been shown before Sept., 2010.
G. Green Horse is for horses that had not been shown at the lope or canter before Sept., 2010.
H. A horse cannot be shown in both Novice Horse and Green Horse.
I. Exhibitors in the walk-jog and walk-trot divisions may also go in halter, showmanship,
beginner walk-jog-lope, beginner walk-trot-canter, trail, novice horse if eligible, green horse if eligible
(can’t go in both novice horse and green horse), hunter hack, and command.
J. Exhibitors in the loping and cantering divisions may also go in halter, showmanship,
trail, green horse if eligible, command, hunter hack, open pleasure, and horsemanship.
K. Exhibitors can not go in more than 1 Trail class.
L. Gaited Horse classes are for Tennessee Walking Horses, Paso Finos, Missouri Fox Trotters,etc.
