The county is going to add more sand to the arena. Thanks to Steve Hinkle for working with the county to help coordinate the arena activities and ensure the facility was ready for the first Barrel show.

Gold Coast Arabians Association horse shows and the Ocean to Lakes event have been approved and placed on the calendar.
Ted has extra keys to the JHA storage container and will provide them as needed for access. The club will also request that the locks on the open storage facility be changed so that the club can have copies.

Standing Committee Report
Pleasure Show – reported by Darrell Smith
Darrell reported that the first show was well attended. The points book has been started and will be available at the next horse show. As a last note, Darrell requested that Ted address the parking spaces front of the grass entrance to the park. Even with cones blocking these spaces, they are often used by the soccer players making it difficult to get trailers in and out of the equestrian area.
Jumper Show – reported by Barry Harrison
Barry highlighted the good press that the JHA received from the Palm Beach Post article. The Jumper show committee has approved adding another class height to the existing show schedule. Two new 2’3 classes will be added starting in October. Barry also wanted it noted that the JHA has made a special effort to work in conjunction with the Pony Club for their mounted meeting at the park. He provided parking signs designating a specific area, closest to the sand arenas, for the Pony Club.
New Business
Stallion Policy
A new rule will be added to the Horse Show rules prohibiting any person under the age of 18 from riding or handling at stallion at any JHA event.
The next Board meeting will be on November 18, 2009
Adjournment: Ted Strelec made a motion to end the meeting; the meeting was unanimously adjourned by the Membership at 8:35.
